Member of the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC), of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM), of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), of the European Society of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition (ESPEN), of the Romania Society of Anesthesia and Intensive Care (SRATI), a.o. Research areas: sepsis, infections treatment, the immune response in septic, surgical and oncological patient, ethical issues in ICU. Publications 2 books, 34 book chapters, 177 papers (66 in ISI journals). Awards: the Presidency of Romania – The „Cavalier of the Sanitary Merit Order” (2020), the Romanian College of Physicians – the national „Physician in Romania” award (2014), the National Association of Student Societies – the „Professor Bologna” award (2009).
