Ass. Prof Gregory Tsoucalas form the Hellenic island of Skopelos studied medicine in the Saint Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia. He has a Master’s Diploma in Palliative Medicine form the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a Post Graduate Diploma in the History of Medicine form Claude Bernard University of Lyon, a Doctor of Philosophy Degree Diploma in the History of Medicine from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a post-doc Diploma in Anatomy from Democritus University of Thrace, a Diploma in Osteoarchaeology from the University of Leiden and a Diploma in Mastology from the European Society of Mastology. More than 400 papers in scientific journals, with more than 1300 citations, books and chapters adorn his cv. Specialized in the Anticancer Hospital Saint Savvas of Athens in Nuclear Medicine, he exercises the medical art of Palliative medicine and Internal Medicine (mainly oncology and dementia). He is Secretary General of the Hellenic section of the BMU. He has been unanimously elected as an Assistant Professor of the History of Medicine in the University of Crete.
